July Update: Activity Feed Is Live + Other Improvements

The Activity Feed in your Ballpark dashboard is back! We spent a little extra time on it before we released it to tighten up our icons and make the language more natural for the activities. Next time you log in, be sure to click around the different scopes of the feed and let us know what you think.

We also put some hours this month towards our ongoing effort to make Ballpark mobile-friendly. We have a long way to go, but we’re happy to report that your Dashboard works wonderfully on your phone or tablet now. This work laid the foundation for us to (hopefully) move a little faster with making other parts of Ballpark responsive in the coming months.

We also pushed a few bug fixes and other improvements this month:

  • The Ballpark Dashboard is now fully responsive.
  • Fix Stripe transaction fee rounding (sometimes it would miss a penny).
  • When creating new timers, the recently timed clients list is now more accurate.

Speaking of timers, our next project is to introduce a new option for tracking your time. Ballpark should have the option to track time to a timesheet–a table view for quickly punching in hours for your entire day or week. This will make time entry much faster than adding timers one-by-one, and will also pave the way for future features like approvals and tasks.

Next month we’ll share designs for this new timesheet feature, but in the meantime if you have any time-related feature requests let us know! Drop us a line at support@getballpark.com and share your hopes and dreams.

We’ll be back next month with another update.
